Armillary Dials make a great focal point for the garden. Both the Standard Armillary Sundials and the large Armillary dials are used within our Sundial Range and are made from solid brass. The Armillary Dials are finished in a verdegree to give it a worn look. The Armillary dial has a solid brass knob so you can adjust the dial to set it up for the correct degree angle for the hemisphere in which it will be placed.

That sounds all very complicated but these Armillary Sundials are designed as an ornamental feature rather than a time piece, however they do work and give an approximate time when set up correctly. If the dial is set at 53deg (for the UK) and is orientated during the day (with the sun shining!) until the shadow casts the correct time they will work to some degree...sorry for the Pun! (does not take into account BST, British Summer Time)
